The Wedding Budget Planner Don’t Leave Home Without It!

Before you go any further, there is one very important thing you need to do:
Create your Wedding Budget Planner

Organization is key on your wedding budget hunting adventure and there is no reason why it can’t be a fun and exciting one. If you are like me and are not normally a very organized person (on top of being AD/HD), for the love of everything wedding and white get your act together just this once!!
You will spare yourself many headaches and an empty bank account if you get your wedding budget planner set up ASAP. It will keep you Sane and Sweet - something your fiance will greatly appreciate!

Flashbacks of 6th Grade! Get a FAT 3 ring binder and decorate it with fun stickers, pictures, or whatever your little heart desires. Pictures of you and your future hubby is my most favorite idea.

Make sure you have looseleaf paper for notes, 15-20 dividers with tabs and pockets, and a few plastic zippered inserts for brochures, business cards, etc. I also like different colored ball point pens and highlighters for extra flair. The Martha Stewart Wedding Workbook is also great tool to add to your binder.

Organize the dividers any way you like, but my preference is in order of your Wedding Planning Priorities.

4. Checklist – Time Line

6. Reception

7. Ceremony

8. Photographer

9. Flowers

15. Lagniappe (old Creole word that means “something extra”) 

The Wedding Budget Planner will be your Bible, literally don’t leave home without it. You never know when you might need to refer to it or jot something down while you are just going about your day. Make it fun, and you will be amazed at how indespinsible your wedding budget binder will become to you while you are planning your special day.

I started my binder when I was in high school… a girl can start dreaming and planning at any age!!… and I still have it for sentimental reasons. Of course everything in there is waaay outdated but it’s fun to look at and it reminds me of how organized I can be when I am planning or working on something that is of the utmost importance to me.
